Ciragan Palace Kempinski

The Çırağan Palace, constructed between 1863 and 1867, was built by the Sultan Abulaziz as his residence. The interior of the palace was totally destroyed in 1910 and the exterior stood as a shell until 1987, when the property was purchased for use as a luxury hotel. The palace interior was reconstructed along with the construction of a new adjoining building. It was again remodeled in 2007 and is operated as the Çırağan Palace Kempinski. The hotel’s crown jewel, the Sultan’s Suite, is one of the most expensive hotel suites in the world.
