Big Ben - Palace of Westminster
Big Ben is the nickname given to the great bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London, UK. The tower that houses the clock, known as the Elizabeth Tower, stands 315 feet tall and was completed in 1859. The clock itself is over 150 years old and is one of the largest four-faced chiming clocks in the world. The name is actually meant to refer to the bell inside the clock, which weighs over 13 tons, but has become synonymous with the entire tower and clock.
